> so, on bone marrow biopsy -we do not see platelets, we only see their parents the megakaryocyte

> To see platelet , you need a perpheral blood smear

Where to find platelet?

        >Half in peripheral blood

        >Half is hiding in the spleen {Thts why splenomegaly decreases platelet count its huge size can eat more platelet

        > so in order to increase platelet or to treat thrombocytopenia we doing splenectomy. Platelets have no where to hide so they are forced in blood stream..platelet count back to normal..
